AiD Takes Over the World(fest)

A big weekend for the DFVP program! Current students Steven Johnson and Tony Dresser, along with Art Institute alumni Kelly Luu and Kevin Luu won three awards at the Worldfest Houston Film Festival.
The Art Institute films were: "Midori," winning a top Platinum Remi Award, "The Theater," with a Gold Remi Award, and "Speechless," with a Bronze Remi Award. "Midori" was the group's entry for AiDallas film festival AI Cines, "The Theater" was the Best Film winner for the AI Horror Film Festival, and "Speechless" was the group's entry for the 48 Hour Race. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the world, and treated all the award winners to The Remi Awards Gala Dinner, a tour of the NASA Space Center and a BBQ at the Galveston Bay Regatta.
Not to be outdone, DFVP instructor Vince Williams also won a Gold Remi Award for his most recent documentary, "Straight Street."
