"If doubt is challenging you and you do not act, doubts will grow. Challenge the doubts with action and you will grow. Doubt and action are incompatible."

From the Lake Cities Sun:

"In the morning it can make or break how focused one is throughout the day. Christal Barnard eats and lives it 24/7. Breakfast.

That's why she started Crinkle's and Co., a small local operation that bakes goods for some area franchises, caters events and now served breakfast at New York Sub Hub of FM 2181 in Corinth, a location owned by a friend of hers.

"I love breakfast. Breakfast is my favorite meal," Chrystal said. "I eat it 24/7.... And I'd rather have my day be over at three than work at night."

Christal and her mother would often spend time cooking together as she grew up as well. "We would make little menus and we got to put silly little things on it," Christal said. "We've been cooking for people since I was little, and we used to cook for my brother and his fraternity when he went to UNT."

Inspired by the drive that runs in her family to cook, Christal went to culinary school at the Art Institute of Dallas soon after graduating high school. She then went on to work at The French Room and Craft, two five-star restaurants.

Jeremy Forman, owner of the Sub Hub on Swisher shares an obvious passion with Christal and lets Christal cook breakfast out of his store because knew her from high school and they met again last December at bar in Lewisville. "We ran into each other at a bar and started doing cheesecakes and Crickles and everything," Christal said. "It started with just cheesecakes and grew to brownies and bars and cookies and then he gave me the opportunity to start breakfast."

The set up is small but it is enough to cook breakfast out of the sub shop. Common items they make are breakfast tacos, croissant and biscuit sandwiches, muffins and coffee cake. "It's just a little griddle, we're making that work," Christal said. "It's not ideal but it's a start."

Crinkle's does breakfast at Sub Hub from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and has made Sub Hub baked goods for six months now supplying the locations near Loop 288 and Avenue C in Denton.

"Our plan is to open a restaurant in a few years," she said.
