Chair-ity event

Interior Design students and faculty will be participating in the Dallas Furniture Bank’s 4th Annual Chair-ity Friendraiser! They will be designing and decorating furniture for the silent auction portion of the event, which will also feature appearances by Top Chef contestants Casey Thompson and Tre Wilcox.

As a bonus for participating, each team will be eligible for a ticket to the event (a $100.00 value), which will take place at the newly renovated Tower Club on October 23 from 7p - 10p.

Participating teams are:

• Ms. Blake: Courtney Warrington and Mayela Gonzalez
• Mr. Owen: Lisa DiOnne and Kayla Doakes
• Ms. Seaton: Michael Perez
• Mr. Shackelford: Iriani Elkins and Joy Sturdevant

Last year's event raised 175,000.00 for the Dallas Furniture Bank, which helps approximately 300 families who are trying to regain their independence after leaving situations of domestic violence, natural disasters, or having sustained some other major life change that left them homeless for a time.
