ID Students mentioned in magazine!

Many Interior Design students in Jim Shackelford's Creative Process class were mentioned as runners up in Ready Made Magazine for their MacGyver Challenge projects from last quarter! The students had to repurpose old window treatments into something new and useful. The mention is reprinted below.

You ReadyMakers re-drew the drapes for our curtains challenge, transforming worn window treatments into all manner of re-fashioned wares. Behold the runners-up as they enjoy their curtain call!

Jaime Lawson strung up a hammock to beat the summer heat.

Brandy Cleveland and Jimmy McDaniels reupholstered pieces of furniture in need of a face lift.

Heidi Scott stitched a curtain “cube” that pulls double duty: It gets it shape from the stacks of magazines it hides, and serves as an ottoman, too.
