Chef Nina Hunter won a Best of Show gold medal (and $1000) four years ago for her sugar centerpiece, and came back triumphantly this year with a gold medal-winning three-tiered cake (below)! Chef Steve Pilat also won a bronze medal for his cake entry.

Students entered the student portion of the competition, with winnings up to $500. In all, The Art Institute of Dallas won TONS of medals:

  • Megan Edwards – Bronze
  • Wendy Sewell – Bronze
  • Anna Munoz – Bronze
  • Todd Edwards – Certificate
  • Cristina Zambrano – Certificate
  • Kathleen Geddie – Certificate
