Short Film Accepted into Los Angeles Film Festival!!

"6 Minutes," a short film by Art Institute students Kelly Luu & Kevin Luu (Writers/Directors), Kristen Gonzales, Dan E. Tibbs (Camera), and instructor Vince Williams (Producer), has been selected to be a part of the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival! The LA Shorts Fest, now in its 12th year as an Academy-accredited Festival, runs August 8-15. A total of 1,335 submissions were judged this year, so to be accepted is a huge honor.

LA Shorts Fest is the largest short film festival in the world. In past years, 30 participants have earned Academy Award nominations, with 9 short films winning Oscars. Last year’s award winners received prizes totaling over $100,000. The festival annually attracts thousands of entertainment professionals looking for the hottest new talent. The "Best of Fest” will receive a Panavision package valued at $60,000.
